Vice President, Human Resources will serve as a senior advisor and trusted partner to the senior executive team on organization and talent strategies. In the role, the Vice President is responsible for driving client business results by actively engaging in the development and execution of business and HR strategies designed to contribute to the success of the Consumer Products and Commercialization business. This dynamic business is shifting current model and entering new markets and accelerating growth plans in the near and long term. The ideal candidate will be a leader who inspires confidence, optimism and has a proven track record for developing innovative HR solutions including experiences implementing transformational change.
Responsibilities:
• Acts as a key voice with executive leadership on shaping a culture to help align with a fast moving, result oriented business
• Facilitates the development of business strategies that build organizational focus, create efficiency and drive innovative business results
• Leads senior level HR team who facilitate organization design activities to streamline and implement new structures, roles, and/or processes that create efficiency and engagement aligned to shifting business demands
• Consults executives using inquiry and critical thinking to problem solve and surface underlying issues in order to achieve business outcomes
• Leverages various data sources to identify trends and patterns to optimize short and long term people plans
• Maintain a pulse on industry trends ensuring talent practices and programs mirror or are ahead of highly competitive retail industry
• Coaches business leaders on employee engagement, diversity and inclusion including development and performance management strategies, and tactics that reinforce business goals and values
• Proactively identifies opportunities to make connections that will further integrate a truly global way of working
• Develops and leverages strong partnerships with HR functions, Communications, and Finance to deliver integrated solutions aligned with company initiatives
• Acts as a role model for collaboration, smart risk-taking and balancing segment and enterprise priorities
• Creates a strong sense of shared purpose and provides on-going development to position the team as trusted, credible business experts and to support collaboration and meaningful interaction with partners
• Holds direct reports accountable for providing regular feedback, coaching and development for their teams, and encouraging employees to share and experiment with new ideas
Basic Qualifications:
• 15 Years of HR generalist or related experience, ideally as a senior HR executive in the industries of retail, product development, e-commerce, store planning
• organization
• 8 Years in leading and developing HR professionals
• Demonstrated ability to independently develop, drive, and contribute to overall strategic and business plans in a rapidly changing business environment
• Proven ability to proactively translate changing business objectives to effective HR strategies
• Demonstrated ability to proactively embrace and drive positive, transformational change
• Relevant experience driving complex org design and talent/change strategies that effectively align the organization and talent to deliver on new business objectives
• Team player that quickly builds trust and collaborative working relationships with business leaders, partners, and employees
• Proven experience leading an effective, highly engaged HR team that delivers integrated business solutions, ideally in a consumer products and/or commercialization environment
• Strong knowledge and demonstrated expertise with HR Business Partner (generalist), Talent Acquisition/Planning, Learning and Development, Employee Relations, Organizational Development, Change Management, Diversity & Inclusion, Compensation functions
• Knowledge of employment and labor law required
Preferred Qualifications:
• PHR or SPHR certification
• HR leadership experience in industries of retail, product development, e-commerce, store planning
• Experience leading global HR teams in support of multi-location businesses and a wide range of employee populations
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree required
