Disney Channels Creative Marketing Internship (DATG) (CA) -Spring 2019

The Disney Channels, which include Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior, is currently seeking a Creative Intern to work within the Creative Marketing team. The Creative Intern teams with the Creative Director, Senior Writer/Producers, Writer/Producers and Marketing team to create promo/short form content for broadcast, digital and social platforms. We are looking for an idea machine that is passionate about youth culture (Kids 6-11 and Preschool), creativity and producing top-notch marketing content.
-An overall willingness to learn.
-Write and produce menus and bumpers.
-Produce video bugs.
-Write/produce reissue and refresh promos/short form content.
-Write/produce stunts under the supervision of the Creative Director, Senior Writer/Producers and Writer/Producers.
-Assist Creative Director, Senior Writer/Producers and Writer/Producers with work overflow.
-Partner with the Graphics Department on various creative executions.
-Partner with Marketing team to create off-channel messaging for various uses.
-Brainstorm with Marketing and Social teams regarding post messaging (Facebook, Instagram and various other to be named platforms).
-Run edit, audio and VO record session.
What you bring to the role:
-Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
-Prior experience working in an office environment.
-Overall Team Player with a willingness to learn.
-Must have an enthusiastic passion for copy-writing and video production.
-Sharp writing skills with a heavy slant towards comedy, animation and kid's entertainment.
-Creative problem solver.
-Strong understanding of current trends and where to find them as it relates to the core demographic of the content you are working on.
-A willingness to partner with more experienced creatives.
-Comfortable in very fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.
-Strong knowledge of the post process (Audio/Visual).
-Must have superb attention to detail.
-All candidates must be eligible to work in the US.
-All candidates must be at least 18 years old.
-All candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship.
-All candidates must be available during the months of January through May for the Spring internship season.
-All candidates must be available to work 40 hours/week in Burbank, CA.
-All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session.
-All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
-Junior or Senior-level standing, or a recent graduate applying within 6 months of graduation date.
-Knowledge of editing platforms (Avid Media Composer/Premiere Pro).
-Comfortable with on-air talent.
-Comfortable and knowledgeable in a live shoot environment.
-Currently studying a media related subject.
