Job Summary:
We're looking for a Production Supervisor to join the Disney Channel team in the Chiswick office on a 12 month fixed term contract.
The role:
• Working to the Senior Manager, Post Production Technology, the Production Facility Supervisor will be responsible for the efficient supervision of the Post Production environment to ensure the seamless completion of projects at the London Origination Centre (LOC)
• To oversee the post production facilities to ensure the optimisation of bookings and resources for the different Lines of Business (internal Disney clients)
• To maintain and develop interdepartmental links with the Lines of Business in relation to technical requirements and Post Production
• Work with the Post Production Support Engineers to effectively document problems and their resolutions
• Assist the Post Production Support Engineers where appropriate to provide first line support for the extensive post production facility including Video Edit, Graphics and Audio
• Work with the senior manager to plan upgrades for all Post Production systems, managing communication with stakeholders
Areas of responsibility:
• To work closely with all Lines of Business to ensure their creative work is completed seamlessly, attending regular meetings to establish specific Post Production requirements in advance and feeding back progress of technical issues
• Supervise the strategic relationship with internal 3rd party vendor ensuring workflow processes are maintained
• Logging and tracking of support issues and statistical analysis of trends
• Prioritisation of competing support issues within the support team
• Maintain reports for facility utilisation
• Communicate regular facility updates with the Lines of Business
Experience & Professional Qualifications:
• Proven relevant experience at Operations Co-ordinator level
• The post holder should be educated to at least ''O'' /GCSE level, with passes in English Language and Mathematics and one other science (or have equivalent proven work experience)
• Education to HND / Degree level or evidence of vocational management and skills training courses highly desirable
• Significant proven experience in Broadcast Operations department in this role
Skills
required:
• Ongoing interest and understanding of Post Production technology & industry process required
• Computer skills to intermediate level in key packages – Word, Excel & PP
• Operational and practical knowledge of ScheduALL
• Premiere Pro knowledge an advantage
• SAP Knowledge an advantage
• Innovation & Creative Thinking
• Ability to work under pressure
• Attention to detail
• Highly organised
• Excellent communicator
