Part Time Unpaid Internship
Job Summary:
The Brand and Consumer Research Team of the Disney Channel Worldwide Consumer Insights department oversees brand, content, digital and strategy research projects for Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, and Radio Disney. Working in close collaboration with the ratings and analytics team, the brand and consumer research team conducts qualitative and quantitative research with core consumers to inform and impact departments across the division, including Development, Programming, Marketing, Franchise, Digital and Strategy teams.
Responsibilities:
A day in the life…
You will support research projects across Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior, and Radio Disney. Also assist department in fieldwork and execution of both qualitative and quantitative studies.
• Help coordinate projects, act as a liaison with vendors, assist in data analyses, and proof reading and writing surveys, discussion guides and reports
• Compile key insights from primary and syndicated studies to fulfill client requests
• Utilize and mine various syndicated research studies for marketing and strategic purposes, as well as provide regular updates on topics to aid branding and marketing decisions
• Gather data and perform analytics on time-sensitive projects
• Create and edit presentations in a creative and executive friendly manner
• Keep team informed on relevant landscape information - review/write summaries of syndicated reports, produce regular reports/memos on industry trends
• Provide support for pilot test focus groups and other qualitative research (prepares stimulus, reviews pilots, takes notes)
• Create and maintain department reference documents and files
• Assist in organizing/maintaining department research library
Basic Qualifications:

• A curious nature and interest in Consumer Insights / Market Research
• Ability to prioritize competing tasks
• Experience gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and reporting on the results
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous marketing research experience
• Strong critical thinking and project management skills
Required Education
• Sophomore, Junior, Senior (or recently graduated) with a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sociology, Psychology or other related field
• GPA of 3.0 or higher
Additional Information:
• Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
• Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
• Program Dates: Interns must be fully available from September through December 2019. Must be able to work 30 - 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday.
• Required Materials: Resume and transcripts must be uploaded at time of online application.
• Transportation: Interns must have reliable transportation to get to and from work for the duration of their internship program.
• Housing: Interns must provide their own housing for the duration of their internship program
