Full Time Unpaid Internship
Job Summary:
ABC Studios is a leader in the development, production and strategic distribution of entertainment content across television and emerging digital platforms. The studio is the key content provider for the ABC Entertainment Group, having produced multiple seasons of hit series, including ''Scandal,'' ''Once Upon a Time,'' ''Grey's Anatomy,'' ''Quantico,'' and ''Black-ish.''
A day in the life…
The intern will assist the ABC Studios Post Production and Production teams as they manage pilots and series, and will gain a closer look into the logistical development and daily maintenance of shows for Network, Cable, and New Media. This opportunity can lend itself to a brief show-level experience and one-on-one time with ABC Studios executives.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Administrative and office duties including copying, filing, etc.
-Desk coverage: answering phones, managing schedules, scheduling meetings.
-Local errands to various post facilities.
-Managing show files and media storage in post vault.
-DVD dubs; QC burn, label and deliver per distribution list requirements.
-Learning the day-to-day process of managing post production on series from the corporate side of the business.
Basic Qualifications:
What you bring to the role:
-Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
-Proven skills utilizing MS Office Suite.
-Prior internship or job experience in an office environment.
-Strong interest in Television and the Entertainment Industry.
-A passion for post-production and production administration.
-Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and prioritize.
-Proven organizational skills while ensuring attention to detail.
-A positive attitude and an eagerness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Junior or Senior-level standing, or a recent graduate within 6 months of graduation date.
-Previous internship experience within a related field.
Additional Information:
-All candidates must be eligible to work in the US.
-All candidates must be at least 18 years old.
-All candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship.
-All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session.
-All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
Program Dates
• All candidates must be available from May/June to August/September
• All candidates must be willing to work 40 hours/week
