Sr. Analyst, Research (Freeform)
Job Summary:
Freeform is looking for a Sr. Analyst to join the Consumer Insights team. The Sr. Analyst will assist in designing both qualitative and quantitative custom surveys, analyzing and interpreting different types of data and translating it into actionable insights for content related research.
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills / attributes:
• Experienced in analytical thinking and writing
• Ability to synthesize large amounts of data and information into clear and concise findings
• Ability to juggle multiple projects at once
• Organized with strong time management skills
• Naturally curious and resourceful
• A self-starter who is highly organized and can work independently, but also loves working within a team and wants to avoid a silo environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Passion for the television industry and enjoys exploring the intersection of entertainment and culture
Responsibilities:
• Assist in preparation, fieldwork, and execution of qualitative and quantitative research studies:
• Quantitative studies: Assist in the writing and reviewing of questionnaires, testing survey links, review data/tabs, clean and code open-ended data as needed, summarize relevant data into stories, formatting slides/reports, and general support on studies
• Focus Groups: Attend focus groups (often in evenings), assist with creation of stimulus, assist with logistics and coordination (along with research vendor), handling client needs, taking notes, summarizing findings
• Coordinate with research partners (both internal and external), ensuring processes are running smoothly
• Support internal ad-hoc requests and business questions by analyzing a variety of data sets and communicating key insights
• Perform other related tasks and/or special projects as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
• Candidate must have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience at a market research supplier or entertainment provider
• Experience with entertainment research preferred
• Has experience and is comfortable with assisting in both qualitative and quantitative research
• Experience with executing research projects (timelines, questionnaire design, data collection and analysis, reporting)
• Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint
• Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and can work independently
• Familiarity with survey programming tools like Qualtrics or SurveyMonkey a plus
Required Education
• College grad w/ major in psychology, anthropology, communications, media studies or other relevant field
