Disney ABC Creative Services Internship, DATG (NY) -Spring 2019
Job Summary:
Disney ABC Creative Services supports Disney brands, Freeform and ABC Sales through branded and customized communication collaterals and various graphics and digital media across all media platforms.
The intern assists in producing all audio-visual elements in support of the division's advertising sales and marketing efforts, utilizing their various skills in motion graphics, 3D, video editing and presentation, and brand ID design. This position reports to the Executive Director of Video and Interactive for Disney ABC Creative Services.
Responsibilities:
-Assist creatively in sales communications, inclusive of presentation designs and motion graphics and/or video editing
-Conceptualize and produce marketing collateral
-Produce short sizzle reels utilizing Final Cut Pro and/or Adobe Premiere
-Computer graphics, website and interactive design
-Understand current communication platforms and collaboratively executing the vision of the department lead creative
Basic Qualifications:
-Resume must contain a link to your website and/or portfolio
-Intermediate experience with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Premiere (and/or Final Cut Pro)
-Understand current production motion graphics/editing techniques
-Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
-Proficiency with MS Office Suite (including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
-Previous internship and/or job experience (external to school) in a related field
-Experience with Apple Keynote
-Understanding of brand communication
-Strong organizational/multi-tasking skills; proficient written and verbal communication skills; ability to see projects through to completion.
-Ability to work in a highly collaborative, team based environment
Preferred Qualifications:
-Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year, or a recent graduate applying within six months of graduation
-Previous internship at a media/entertainment company
-Knowledge of Cinema 4D, and/or strong animation and/or editing skills
-Strong knowledge of hardware/software
Additional Information:
-All candidates must be eligible to work in the US
-All candidates must be at least 18 years old
-All candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship
-All candidates must be available during the months of early January through late May for the Spring internship program
-All candidates must be available to work 32 hours/week on a Monday through Friday schedule in New York City, New York
-All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session
-All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
