We're seeking a Senior Video Producer to join ABC News Digital. The Senior Video Producer is a leading member of the Editorial team, responsible for overseeing original videos and developing new video content for all ABC News platforms, including mobile, social and OTT. The Senior Video Producer will work with producers and correspondents developing content and seeing it through to delivery across all digital platforms.
We are looking for someone who is extremely creative and experienced. This role calls for someone who has a passion for storytelling, an urge to produce creative content and a desire to be at the forefront of digital video.
The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while demonstrating impeccable editorial judgment. We are seeking an energetic leader who thrives off of the intensity of a 24/7 news cycle and loves working in a collaborative environment with different teams toward a common goal.
• Develop and oversee delivery of content across all digital platforms
• Approve pitches from producers and correspondents
• Provide editorial oversight including script notes and package screening
• Sign-off on daily and long-term video projects
• Minimum six years of experience, preferably at a major news organization, producing video content
• Minimum two years' experience managing staff during development and production
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
• Adherence to the highest journalistic standards of journalism, including working closely with news desks in breaking news situations
• Two or more years' experience having direct reports
• Experience writing news stories
• Must be able to edit on Avid or Final Cut Pro
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
