This role is a part of the Ad Tech team within the DATG CTO Organization. The Senior Manager, Digital Sales Ad Tech, is a key member of the technology team partnering with Advertising Sales and will provide subject matter expertise, strategy development and execution leadership for DATG digital ad sales initiatives, products & solutions. The Senior Manager will develop relationships with Sales partners, vendors, sourcing, legal and cross functional technology teams to plan and execute delivery of a centralized digital ad sales platform that leverages the power of the DATG portfolio. A successful candidate in this role must enhance data & analytics capabilities that drive insightful decisions across DATG's sales organization. This person must also benchmark performance and deliverables against client requirements, as well as key financial goals. The position will be based in New York, NY.
Responsibilities
• Partner with DATG brands and align their digital ad sales initiatives to successfully develop a centralized digital ad sales platform
• Maintain an understanding of Ad Sales business priorities and enterprise goals and use this insight to ensure internal and external technology teams shape solutions that meet the needs of the customer
• Define roadmap to migrate, consolidate and integrate ad sales systems, ensuring timelines and business needs are met
• Facilitate collaboration across departments while fostering and maintaining transparency
• Leverage their expertise of digital sales business and technologies to identify and recommend best practices and process improvements to increase operational efficiencies and maximize investments
• Conduct internal and external analysis and stay on top of industry and business trends in order to aid in continuous improvement efforts and drive perpetual business value
• Develop, lead, and grow digital ad sales and data strategies, products, and tools to evolve digital sales and analytics capabilities
• Identify and grow talent to build and oversee digital ad sales and data products and processes
• Create digital data products that allow the business to capitalize on insights derived from data analytics
• Promote a holistic vision about data as we develop digital ad integration and architecture
• Innovate ways to solve complex business challenges in areas of data and automate where possible
• Standardize and manage digital data definitions across departments to facilitate comparability
• Interact with the key internal business stakeholders to understand their gaps with existing tools and services in Data Infrastructure
• Interact with top customers to understand their analytics needs and orchestrate building out these capabilities in internal tools, as well as influence the features of related products in our engineering driven organization
• Vision in mapping business questions to analytical products
• Actively work with internal development teams to conduct gap analysis of different solutions (both internal and external) and identify the best path forward. Champion and provide oversight for initiatives during the Technical Delivery process.
• Provide direct program management – lead and conduct project activities based on Agile (Scrum) methodology (or alternate strategies based on engineering team's methodology).
• Ensure technology strategy aligns with the business strategy, DATG leadership goals and The Walt Disney Company's technology strategy
Basic Qualifications
• Experienced technology leader in the Media & Entertainment industry
• Experience managing multiple concurrent enterprise software implementation and development projects
• Experience in business analysis and translating business requirements into technology solutions
• Experience building, leading and developing high performing teams
• Experience in agile software development, SDLC and alternate strategies based on internal and external technology team methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
• Proven leader in the Digital Sales space
• Strong track record of planning and executing on-time, on budget completion of multiple enterprise projects concurrently
• Collaborative, consultative, customer-focused approach
• Strong listener and communicator (written / verbal) to successfully interface with key technology and business stakeholders across the enterprise
• Detail oriented and passionate about solving complex business problems with innovative solutions
• Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and evolving business needs
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems (or equivalent work experience)
