Job Summary:
ABC Studios Finance & Planning provides critical financial support and analytics to the ABC Studios management team as well as key business partners across the Walt Disney Company. The finance team supports the decision making process by tracking, maintaining, forecasting show-level and company-level financial data.
Responsibilities:
Create, monitor and maintain financial models that project show-level financial data and support the forecasting, budgeting and long range planning functions for ABC Studios. In addition, monitor, plan and report overhead and capital for ABC Studios. Individual must be comfortable working directly with senior management and also with the various distribution groups across the Walt Disney Company (ABC Entertainment, Domestic & International Television, Home Entertainment and Digital Media). Candidate will also support special projects on an ad-hoc basis. Position requires excellent communication, interpersonal, time management skills and acute attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Include:
• Forecasts / AOP / Long Range Plan – Support coordination and preparation of forecasts, Annual Operating Plans and 5 Year Plans for ABC Studios.
• Prepare/update detailed financial ultimate models to provide operational decision support for ad hoc show P&L's.
• Overhead planning – Meet with various ABC Studios department heads to plan and maintain their departmental budgets throughout the year. Additionally, responsible for planning and reporting ABC Studios OH costs via the Cognos system.
• Systems Support – Maintain financial planning models in Cognos for quarter closes. Lead further development of the Cognos system for forecast/long range plan purposes.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.
• Previous work experience in FP&A is a must-have, experience within television or film FP&A is a plus.
• Public accounting experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues. Exceptional commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals and deadlines.
• Strong technical skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, SAP, BW. Intermediate to advanced excel modeling skills is a plus. Experience with Cognos is a plus.
• Deliverable-focused, strong work ethic, able to prioritize and resolve an array of issues simultaneously.
• Innovative orientation with a proactive approach to problem solving. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Required Education
• B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance.
