Reporter/Producer - Department of Justice (ABC News Washington)
Job Summary:
ABC NEWS WASHINGTON is hiring a Department of Justice Reporter/Producer.
Responsibilities:
The Justice Reporter/Producer is responsible for covering the vast Department of Justice beat that can include everything from law enforcement agencies, terrorism investigations and civil rights to the FBI, DEA and national security stories.
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for someone with extremely strong editorial skills with a history of developing and maintaining sources, knowledge and substantial interest in the governmental agencies and an established record of producing creative, exclusive stories. This position requires outstanding news judgment, strategic thinking and an ability to be persistent yet diplomatic. Must have strong writing skills. A minimum of five (5) years journalism experience in a news environment is required. Must be capable of working in a fast-paced, high pressure work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer candidate with extensive writing, reporting and producing experience.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
