Job Summary:
Good Morning America has an opening for a Production Manager, Program Operations. This position supports the GMA production team by coordinating daily show operations – control room coverage, daily show set-up and remote production management.
Responsibilities:
The Production Manager will work closely with the Show Directors and support teams to schedule appropriate studio crews, graphics and DGA personnel to cover changing show needs. This position works closely with the ABC News Logistics Desk and Network Acquisition Center to coordinate satellite trucks and remote events as well as maintaining budgetary control for daily operations. This position books all production facilities for the show, both in studio and remotely. The Production Manager coordinates all aspects of the show's production including all live segments such as live music events in the studio, in Times Square and in Central Park and all live anchor remotes.
The position requires frequent field work which can include travel to remote locations to supervise field production operations. Good Morning America is a 7 day per week operation that requires weekend and evening shifts.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years experience in news and/or live morning show format
• Extensive background in live studio and field television production
• Familiarity with the latest television broadcast technologies
• Budgeting and financial skills are required
• Ability to meet critical deadlines
• Strong organizational skills and ability multi-task are key
• Flexibility to work shifts as well as travel on short notice
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 5 years experience in news and/or live morning show format in operations or production management role.

BA or equivalent experience
