Job Summary:
The Legal Affairs and Law & Regulation groups of Disney ABC/Television group are seeking a paralegal who is looking to grow in the media and production field, to provide support in drafting and negotiating production agreement and contracts, contest and subpoena work, assist on special projects and support the teams with multifaceted legal support.
Legal Affairs supports all of the transactional and contract needs of, and provides legal/business affairs counsel to ABC News (including production, digital, radio, Videosource and Lincoln Square Productions), Owned TV Group (including all 8 TV stations and digital), Research, Broadcast Operations & Engineering, Sourcing & Procurement, ABC Events, ABC Photo Dept, Times Square Studios, Affiliate Marketing, Daytime Promotions, ESPN on ABC and other miscellaneous work.
Law & Regulation provides legal advice and support to ABC News and the ABC owned television and radio stations on a range of issues including editorial and newsgathering issues involved in the preparation and distribution of national and local news programming (including libel, privacy, trespass, subpoenas, fair use/copyright); FCC regulatory issues (including licensing, children's programming, political sales and advertising, sponsor ID's, FCC EEO requirements, issues/programs reports, closed captioning); and contests.

• Assist with contract drafting and negotiation
• Legal research and various special projects
• Receive and handle contest proposals and subpoenas
Basic Qualifications:
• Support Legal Affairs and Law & Regulation group for ABC NY

Required Education
• Bachelors or Associates Degree. Paralegal certification.
Preferred Education
• Law degree from accredited school preferred.
