Part Time Paid Internship
Responsibilities
The goal of the Office Production Intern position at General Hospital is to assist the production office in their daily tasks. These tasks may include copying, distributing, research and various other types of office work. Interns are also responsible for providing set tours to studio guests. The program is an excellent learning opportunity as it allows one to observe physical production on set, shadow directors and producers in the control booth, attend daily production meetings, and observe in the edit room and music room.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills)
•All candidates must be eligible to work in the US
•All candidates must be at least 18 years old
•All candidates must be available to a minimum of 2 full work days (8 hours/day), and one partial day (4 hours) for a total of 20 hours/week
•All students must be available during: early August to mid-December for the Fall program, early January to mid-May for the Spring program, and mid-May to early August for the Summer Program
•All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
•All candidates must have a strong proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, as well as Word and Excel
•All candidates must have strong social media and marketing skills
•All candidates should have a high attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast paced environment
•All candidates should have proficiencies with both Mac and PC operating systems
Preferred Qualifications
•Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year - OR - be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last 6-8 months
•Strong interest in Television and the Entertainment Industry
•Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
•An interest in on-set production and hunger to learn about network television
