Operations Producer - Hard News, Nightline
Job Summary:
ABC NEWS has an opening for an OPERATIONS PRODUCER – HARD NEWS.
The Operations Producer will supervise Nightline and breaking news production in the Digital Media Center (DMC) on a daily basis. Candidate must be extremely resourceful and calm under deadline pressure and during technological, editorial and logistical crises.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for supervising video playback while Nightline is on the air. Additionally, the Operations Producer is responsible for all show elements and must ensure that production tasks are assigned and completed in a timely and efficient manner. The candidate must be excellent at thinking ahead to anticipate production needs and must work seamlessly with show senior producers to organize staff schedules and edit schedule and assignments. This position is also responsible for coordinating satellite feeds, arranging logistics and communicating with news gathering staff, all with a strong attention to detail, budgets and deadlines. Candidate will manage Nightline's media resources and be responsible for overseeing proper storage and archival of media.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have basic AVID editing skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in news is a plus.
Required Education
BA or BS from a 4 year accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
