Full Time Job
The Screen Credit Administration Manager manages all aspects of screen credits for ABC Studios' 30 productions produced for network, cable, and online services. The Manager is responsible for ensuring all credit-related Guild, Network, and Studio requirements are met. This person will interface directly with Business Affairs, Legal Affairs, Production, Post Production, Casting, Labor Relations, and Creative Executives, and externally with the Labor Guilds. Possessing interpersonal skills and deftness in conversation is vital to success at the job. The Screen Credits Administration team is part of the ABC Studios Labor Relations team, and the Manager reports to the Director of ABC Screen Credits Administration.
Responsibilities
• Liaise across ABC Studios on issues related to screen credits and titling.
• Serve as the main point of contact for the WGA, DGA, ADG, and Editors Guild on a variety of titling and screen credit issues.
• Troubleshoot any issues, problems, and/or needed corrections related to screen credits and titling.
• In charge of managing credits on assigned television series and all aspects related to the screen credits and titling of those shows, including:
• Build a screen credits document for broadcast from contracts/documents gathered from Business Affairs, Legal Affairs, Production, Post Production and Casting.
• Submit the WGA's Notice of Tentative Writing Credits and the DGA's Credits / Residuals Determination (as required).
• Prepare WGA arbitrations for writing credit disputes as required.
• Work with Guilds (DGA, WGA, Editors Guild, ADG) and obtaining any and all related screen credits waivers. This includes, but is not limited to, DGA UPM waiver, WGA Executive Story Editor and Created By placement waiver, Shared Editors Credit waiver, and Production Designer waiver.
• Distribute approval drafts in a timely manner for Studio/Production approval.
• Distribute final approved credits to appropriate Company/ Network personnel for publication and titling
• Responsible for general office support duties.
Basic Qualifications
• 3 years prior experience in a related entertainment role
• Experience in a moderately high-pressure office setting
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office and familiarity with databases desired; Scenechronize a plus
• Television or Feature screen credits and/or Guild work experience desired
• Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills with minimal supervision
• Desire a collaborative team building environment
• Effective concise verbal and written communication skills
• Interact effectively with Attorneys, Production and Post personnel of all levels
• Ability to remain calm and think strategically in stressful, fast-moving environments and situations.
• Excellent analytical and research skills with the ability to exercise appropriate judgment in executing tasks
• Ability to handle time-sensitive projects on a daily basis
• Demonstrate a detail oriented, flexible and ambitious attitude to assume challenges and increased responsibility
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with databases
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
