Manager, Post Production (Series)
Job Summary:
Manage all aspects of Post Production on current series as assigned, working closely with post production teams and producers on assigned shows. Knowledge and experience in deliverables to streaming service is key.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects of Post Production on current projects as assigned, working closely with Show Producers, Current, Development, Production Executives and Director, Post Production to ensure projects meets creative expectations within budgetary parameters. Responsibilities include creating schedules, budgets, input on staffing show post team, vendor selection and managing series through delivery and acceptance while collaborating with producers and production executives.
• Provide support to Post-Production Executives as well as show Post-Production departments to create efficient work-flows while managing to tight rollout schedules across multiple episodes of multiple series and projects.
• Manage post-production schedules from shows to various Disney departments; including note tracking to ensure post-production runs smoothly. Coordinate between Current, Programming and Mastering to ensure post runs on time and within budget.
• Guide select productions in compliance with IALP Production Manual and ensures all post-production guidelines are adhered to per Company policy and Company precedents are maintained.
• Partner with other LOB's to ensure success of a series through timely communication and delivery of elements to support Company efforts on behalf of the Projects.
• Attend and contribute to production meetings and post-production sessions, and be an active participant in current productions.
• Understand network credit policies, including guild and union requirements, and implement such knowledge in supervision of credit approval process.
• Facilitate post-production wrap, recovering all assets and ensuring all deliverables have been received by the Network
• Think strategically to find better methods of processes for post-production, both on production and at the production company and network level.
• Understands New Emerging technologies, always considering new workflows that offer creative benefits while also saving money and increase efficiency
• Adheres to all Company policies and guidelines, including but not limited to all Financial and Audit requirements (competitive bidding, conflicts of interest, I9 and Immigration, etc), Harassment, Confidentiality, Standards of Business Conduct, Minor Employment and Safety.
Basic Qualifications:
• Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in post-production – studio, show or post facility experience
• Candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in post-production for a streaming service – studio, show or post facility experience
• Experience working with studio and network executives
• Experience working with show Executive Producers, Line Producers, Directors
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be a team player
• Proficient with Excel, Word, Power Point
• Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and can work independently
Required Education
• College graduate.
