Director, Sales Operations (Project Hire)
Disney ABC is seeking an exceptional candidate to head the Sales Operations team. The Director of Sales Operations will lead the strategy and implementation of new business processes and training and work closely with the Technology team. The focus will be on driving the business forward, improving day to day efficiencies and preparing for future business growth. The Director reports to the VP, Advanced Advertising & Sales Operations within the Audience Solutions team.
Responsibilities
• Establish the prioritization of Sales projects by soliciting input from Sales Management and maintain a strong understanding of industry demands
• Champion and drive project discussions with internal business partners and external vendors to maximize revenue and resources through systems advancements
• Primary point of contact for Sales with the Technology team
• Manage adoption processes and ensure the proper channels are in place to effectively communicate to the business
• Define needed KPIs to report on adoption of new technologies and capabilities
• Development training resources for all end users of current and legacy ad sales systems across all platforms
• Manage on-going training curriculum to enable Sales to leverage tools and follow processes
• Meet with System Vendors and Media Industry 'insiders' to remain current with industry trends
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum of 10 years industry experience
• In depth knowledge of advertising industry to understand the business flow on both the Buy and Sell sides, inclusive of linear and digital experience
• Understand all aspects of sales business flow including, Sales, Planning, Marketing, Finance, and Traffic
• Demonstrated experience leading a business through change
• Ability to simplify the complex and present with ease, while anticipating and handling objections
• Extensive problem-solving skills and communication skills
• Collaborative work approach across inter and intradepartmental teams
• Ability to lead and motivate people; encourage teamwork
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
