Job Summary:
As the Production Executive in charge of select single-camera and multi-camera series, initiate and supervise all aspects of series production, facilitating communication between productions and the Studio and/or Network, managing schedules and the financial well-being of the productions while focusing on meeting high creative expectations.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise all aspects of production on current series as assigned, both domestic and international. Work closely with Producers, Current Series, and Development teams to ensure projects meet creative expectations within budgetary parameters. Responsibilities include drafting production plans, budgets and schedules, and managing series through prep, production and post-production with emphasis on the creative intent, physical production of a project, and timely delivery.
• Create pilot and series budgets for both multi-cam and single-cam productions, collaborating with producers to implement and control costs.
• Partner with Producers and Development and Current Series teams, offering creative input and pushing limits of status quo production and post-production models to deliver on creative expectations while managing to cable budgets.
• Understand and maintain Company precedents set for ATL and BTL deals, rates and provides contractual obligations to producers and accountants to aid in budgeting process.
• Guide select productions in compliance with IALP Production Manual and ensures all contracts, deal memos, permits, releases, guild compliance, labor laws, etc. are adhered to per Company policy.
• Attend production meetings, read-thrus, run-thrus as needed and contribute creatively to production and post production situations
• Liase with Post-Production Departments to delivery materials on time, on budget within Network technical specifications while meeting creative expectations and managing to tight schedule and budgetary parameters.
• Liase with Creative team to ensure clear communication with production and post-production teams so that creative expectations are met
• Review production documents and cost reports on select projects. Able to analyze and summarize performance and provide advice and solutions.
• Supervises asset management upon wrap of pilots/series
• Create calendars and countdowns for current series and provide leadership to keep all parties on schedule
• Facilitate key crew hires and champion diverse and out-of-the box candidates that are able to deliver on creative expectations while working within budgetary parameters.
• Collaborates with colleagues to ensure that productions under their supervision are in compliance with the Company's goals and guidelines
• Liase with various business partners, facilitating materials and information to address inter- departmental needs
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience with managing distant location productions, including in-depth knowledge of available tax incentives, local Union and Guild agreements, work rules and conditions, crew depth, resources and research tools to provide an educated assessment of the pros and cons of various locations
• Research and gain working knowledge of New Emerging Production technologies
• Team player with a pro-active style a must
• Solicit diverse opinion, research and gather relevant information to guide decision making on the Company's behalf.
• Champion Company initiatives and provide creative suggestions on implementation, for example healthy eating, diversity and girl power initiatives as well as other more project specific agendas)
• Responsible to maintain and adheres to all Company policies and guidelines, including but not limited to all Financial and Audit requirements (competitive bidding, conflicts of interest, I9 and Immigration, etc), Harassment, Confidentiality, Standards of Business Conduct, Minor Employment and Safety.
