ABC News Good Morning America is hiring a video producer for the digital arm of the most-watched morning show in the U.S..
The ideal candidate is a creative, adaptable, and pioneering creative producer. This role will be based full-time out of our New York office. Job duties include producing digital-first lifestyle content for social, and mobile optimized platforms. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in lifestyle video production, demonstrable video editing and collaborative producing experience, and a clear understanding of the difference between traditional media and digital-first content. The Digital Video Producer will have experience with branded content production, as well. Experience in producing and consuming lifestyle content will be key for this role.
This producer will conceive and create both one-offs and series in the lifestyle genre and the work will be published on a brand new redesigned GMA website, traditional GMA social channels, OTT and across partners, as well as adapt to emerging platforms and opportunities.
Comfortable doing work behind the camera and in the edit booth while featuring others in stories and packages. Developing on camera talent is not important for this role.
The job entails producing and editing content for web platforms and social media platforms. The Digital Video Producer will work closely with other producers, as well as writers, social publishers, and broadcast producers, and report to the Head of Video for Good Morning America Digital. The ideal candidate has experience sourcing, producing, and editing a digital video from beginning to end. This job requires at least five years of experience in video production.
Responsibilities
• Organize and schedule pre-interview or pre-shoots.
• Conduct interviews with subjects (in person, on social, or remotely via Skype).
• Assist in conceptualizing series, evergreen content, and franchise ideas.
• Work as a team, and take direction as needed to fulfill project needs.
• Ability to conceive of and produce videos quickly, and be interested in analyzing the results of their work.
• Able to bring new ideas and concepts to the team on a regular basis.
• Edit with ease in Adobe Premiere.
• Shoot crisp, beautiful footage on DSLR cameras.
• Collect clear audio in the field and in the studio.
• Write and design for videos for the digital and social media audience.
Basic Qualifications
The ideal candidate is able to produce, shoot and edit multiple videos per week. Each video must be produced for the platform on which it appears, and multiple cuts to meet platform requirements will be a part of the job.
• Minimum five(5) years of experience producing content for digital platforms
• Must have demonstrated experience editing video content
• Expertise with the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects.)
• Awareness of digital formats and trends in video as a unique style of video outside of television style production
• Ability to take direction, work collaboratively, and understand the power of teamwork behind the camera
• Ready to receive feedback on work produced for the team
• Prepared to commit to team-wide success while pursuing individual projects for the brand
• Proven track record producing for social and mobile
• Knowledge of AVID
• Knowledge of Photoshop
• Ability to use Canon C100, Canon 5D or similar DSLR camera is a must
• Knowledge of Photoshop is a must
Preferred Qualifications
• Three or more years of experience producing video content for news or lifestyle sites
• Awareness of digital formats and trends in video as a unique style of video outside of television style production
• Ability to take direction, work collaboratively, and understand the power of teamwork behind the camera

Required Education
BA or BS from a four year accredited college or university or equivalent experience
