Assignment Editor (NABET)
Job Summary:
The ABC News Los Angeles Bureau has an opening for an Assignment Editor. This Assignment Editor gathers editorial information and video from the LA coverage area, including contacting ABC affiliated stations.
This position is covered by the NABET-CWA/ABC Master Agreement.
Responsibilities:
• This person will request, process, and distribute video and editorial information from stations and other news sources, and alert management in the case of breaking news.
Basic Qualifications:
• The candidate is required to have video editing skills and familiarity with various video file programs, along with an interest in news and information.
• He/she must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently, and must be willing to work nights and weekends as needed.
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
