Full Time Job
This role is responsible for leading and executing promotion and advertising projects and campaigns for Travel Channel and company efforts at large. Work alongside the Creative Directors and the Strategy Group to plan and devise campaigns that unite strategy, brand message and promotion. Help shape the editorial tone of online and digital products, commerce opportunities and any other branding elements across the company. Manage projects, outside design firms, and occasionally freelancers.
Responsibilities
1. Develops concepts, writes, produces and directs on-air promotions including episodics, generics for air.
2. Directs and supervises voice-over sessions for promotional needs
3. Manages completion of spots and campaigns including versioning, tagging and final delivery
4. Manages and directs third party vendors on projects.
5. Coordinate with music composers for pre and post scoring.
6. Copy writing as needed on print advertisements, online ad units and marketing materials.
7. Coordinates with Marketing, Online, and New Media with brand related projects
8. Pitches marketing presentations and creative ideas
9. Develops internal presentations and reels as needed
10. Work on multiple platform initiatives such as podcasts and mobile content
11. Edits small video projects as needed
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent year for year experience and 4 years’ experience in writing/producing promotions television.
* Knowledge of post production editing and design tools and processes
* Ability to manage multiple concepts, campaigns at once
* Ability to conceive, communicate and implement an idea.
* Ability to enterprise, research, and plan promotions
* Skill in creative, clear and concise storytelling
* Advanced oral and written communication skills
* Personal computing skills, including MS Office applications
* Ability to persuade
* Organization and time management skills
* Ability to work in PC or Mac environment
* Knowledge of digital editing and digital graphics applications and hardware
* Knowledge of and ability to use Premiere, After Effects and Adobe Suite
* Visualization ability
* Ability to be creative in all forms of media, such as tv, online, print, emerging technologies
* Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting and selling products or services.
* Ability to work and lead creative teams on individual projects
* Critical thinking skills
* Ability to communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
* Ability to understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem solving and decision making.
* Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
