Job Summary
Discovery’s People & Culture team provides leading edge solutions to support the growth, development and engagement across the organization. Our team partners closely with the business to anticipate and deliver programs, products and solutions to keep our talent engaged and our company competitive.
The VP – Employee Experience, Analytics & Project Management plays a key role on the People & Culture team supporting strategic initiatives across Discovery’s workforce including organizational change, M&A, diversity & inclusion, and employee engagement. This role will work with teams to b ring structure and methodology to unstructured problems and organizational priorities.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work on cross functional teams to scope and explore business, operational and process improvement opportunities across the organization.
• Provide project leadership across a range of organizational initiatives in close partnerships with key stakeholders across the company
• Develop processes and systems to evaluate progress and measure the impact of diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
• Research and benchmark world-class industry practices for approaches to advance diversity and inclusion.
• Develop scorecards that enable the teams to look at progress against goals and identify obstacles and opportunities – and work with them to understand drivers of change.
• Work with the Talent teams to translate US AAP plan opportunities into actionable initiatives – regularly measuring progress and identifying new challenges.
• Partner with Rewards team and external consultants to regularly and rigorously analyze pay equity including impact of new hires and promotions
• Partner with Talent Acquisition team to improve effectiveness of early career programs, rotation programs and outreach initiative, identifying challenges across the process and partnering to solution.
• Manage the survey development and administration process, working with teams across the company to design surveys that support Discovery’s feedback culture, deliver actionable insights, and drive engagement and collaboration.
• Design and implement an agile and action-focused survey strategy to assess culture, engagement and operational effectiveness.
Requirements
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
• Extensive experience translating strategy into actionable projects and initiatives
• Expertise in analyzing complex data, identifying insights and communicating to stakeholders of all levels
• Strong project management skills and substantive track record in working effectively with cross-functional teams highly engaged, generous and collaborative team player – working with colleagues and stakeholders to drive progress across strategic priorities.
• Strong strategic, envisioning and critical thinking skills, with the ability to innovate and solution.
• Comfortable, capable and credible interacting across all levels of the business with a demonstrated track record of establishing and actively managing relationships with key external stakeholders, matrix partners and other company resources to optimize capabilities.
• High tolerance for ambiguity with ability to juggle multiple projects, shifts gears and adapt to changing business conditions to meet changing deadlines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience implementing and customizing tools and technology to optimize data, analytics and survey initiatives.
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States
