The Technology Business Partner is responsible for promoting and supporting a strong partnership between functional business stakeholders and various technology provider groups to provide effective service delivery surrounding one or more IT services.
Responsibilities
1. Leads and manages priority projects and initiatives including strategic consulting engagements, process improvement exercises, and system upgrades and implementations.
2. Ensures the delivery of operational IT services meet the expectations of business customers. Service delivery could include the management of outsourced services, management of internal operational resources, and oversight of matrixed IT resources.
3. Provides strategic IT consultative support to one or more business functions. 4. Establishes multi-year roadmaps for service delivery and initiatives with alignment to the priorities of the business function.
5. Establishes and maintains appropriate metrics and measures to monitor performance of service delivery and to communicate the value delivered to business stakeholders; continuously promotes operational improvements to maximize service value and effectiveness.
6. Serves as the point of contact for communication of service and initiative activities to one or more business function leaders.
7. Establishes and maintains relationships with service consumers (stakeholders, users, decision makers, etc).
8. Develops and maintains current, future, and target state business capabilities roadmap along with a portfolio of initiatives
Requirements
* BS/BA in related discipline and at least 6-9 years in related field – OR – MS/MA/MBA or other graduate degree and at least 4-6 years of experience in related field.
* Develops and leverages comprehensive knowledge of functional/technical and business best practices to improve own work and the work of less experienced colleagues.
* Takes steps to gain new perspectives from external sources.
* Balances competing priorities based on understanding of team/business needs.
* Strong consultation and problem solving abilities; solid influencing and facilitation skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Must be able to work collaboratively with team members.
* Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional groups.
