GT&O builds, implements and maintains the business systems and technology that are critical for delivering Discovery’s products, while articulating the long-term technology strategy that will enable Discovery’s growing pay-TV, digital terrestrial, free-to-air and online services to reach more audiences on more platforms.

The Role
The IT Communications and Engagement Manager will be responsible for creating IT communication strategies and managing and delivering key communications to our global user base for various IT initiatives and campaigns. This position will develop IT related communications and marketing materials using multiple platforms including email, Workplace, ServiceNow, etc. for different audiences across the company. The individual in this role will also develop relationships within the business and with key stakeholders groups to increase IT engagement and outreach.
This is a contract position.
Responsibilities
• Design communication plans tailored to specific needs of IT rollouts or campaigns
• Write and deliver end user communications for IT related initiatives
• Develop IT communications for leadership to distribute to various audiences
• Seek and suggest new communication tools and strategies to enhance delivery and experience
• Assist in the development of marketing for our products related to project rollouts and IT initiatives
• Develop relationships within the business and key stakeholder groups to assess their feedback regarding IT communications
• Work closely with Corporate Communications, People & Culture Employee Engagement, InfoSec, and other teams to align with communications
• Create end user surveys and analyze results to assist with outreach strategies
• Engage with all areas of GT&O to find and develop opportunities for communications and outreach
• Work closely with the training team to unify with training offerings
• Create, proofread, and edit knowledge articles, videos, and other end user materials
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Arts or equivalent combination of training, experience, and skills
• Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to craft communications and writing styles to various global audiences (both technical and non-technical)
• Excellent organizational and presentation skills
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt quickly
• Strong leadership skills
• Flexibility in working with global teams in global time zones
• Must have legal right to work in the United States
