What you need to know:
• This summer, our 12 week semester will be held from May 29th-August 16th, 2019.
• Our internships are paid opportunities. Credit is not required; however, we will provide documentation if necessary.
• The application deadline is March 22nd. After this date, we cannot guarantee your application will be reviewed for the position.
• We do not require a cover letter. Please demonstrate your passion for the position through your resume.
Interviewing will take place from February through mid-April. A Discovery Intern team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.
Responsibilities
The Technical Facility Planning & Engineering (TFPE) Department is responsible for the planning, design, construction, outfitting, operation and maintenance of the company’s mission-critical facilities and office spaces with particular emphasis on the power, cooling, and cabling infrastructures that support the company’s information technology (IT), post production, broadcast and transmission systems.
As a Technical Facility Planning & Engineering Intern, your adventure could lead you to work on projects and tasks such as:
• Work with engineers who design, program, install, commission, and maintain the Facility Monitoring Systems and Building Management Systems that monitor and control critical power (electricity) and cooling (mechanical) systems
Requirements
* Must be currently enrolled as a full time student (proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship)
* Must be a rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate student
* Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
* Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
* Experience with?AutoCAD
