Position Summary
Discovery is looking for an expert and customer obsessed Senior Program Manager for the Digital and Direct-to-Consumer business, a joint venture partnership between Discovery, Inc. As the Senior Program Manager, you will combine the inspiration of the brand with a data-driven approach to define, develop and launch special initiatives and strategic program offerings that delight customers and increase engagement. This Senior Program Manager will lead strategic projects independently across work streams, while also partnering closely with leaders to support other initiatives. To do so, they will effectively collaborate across disciplines in a matrixed and geographically diverse team.
A successful person in this role will have strong strategic project management and problem-solving skills. They will communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally. They will build effective and productive relationships by fostering trust and communicating clearly. They will be organized, have a bias to act quickly, enjoy diving into details and data, and be curious to learn all facets of the program.
Responsibilities
1. Exhibit deep understanding of the customer and demonstrate customer empathy
2. Develop program strategy based on customer needs and translate into prioritized initiative roadmaps
3. Demonstrate results by delivering against high-impact program metrics
4. Serve as a key advisor to Magnolia DTC leadership on strategic topics and special projects
5. Create and improve processes to drive efficiency and predictable processes
6. Lead cross-functional projects in close collaboration with the DTC leadership and other key stakeholders
7. Own and coordinate day-to-day program reporting, including status, priorities, risks (and mitigations), and action items.
8. Ensure each team has the information and assets needed to effectively deliver their key priorities.
9. Enhance program mechanisms and processes to support a culture of continuous improvements.
Requirements
* 5 years of experience as a program or project manager within a technology or digital organization.
* Experience contributing in valued roles on high profile, multi-faceted programs.
* Experience delivering all phases of a project, including planning, design, development, and production.
* Experience working with senior and/or executive leadership.
* Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and a high-degree of follow-through.
* A love of working closely with others to empower them to excel.
* Curiosity and a willingness to learn.
