Full Time Job
• Serve as liaison between business organizations and IT groups (production support, development, test, release management etc.) providing application support for production issues, maintenance releases and projects
• Analyze complex business problems and determine proper resolution path
• Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
• May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues both internally or externally/vendor
• Assist in the design, delivery, and improvement of in-house software applications training programs and related courseware.
• Assess available technologies and recommend solutions to team
• May play a key role in the training of customer and technical support personnel
• Work under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment
Responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of business processes within the assigned area.
2. Work with DCI business partners to gather process, functional, and data requirements
3. Assist the business with gathering statements of business requirements
4. Assist the business with gathering business justifications
5. Assist Product Managers in prioritizing issues/enhancements
6. Partner with Product Managers in developing assessments with high level requirements and levels of effort
7. Communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders
8. Develop detailed requirements documentation including business process models and business / systems requirements documents and use cases.
9. Participate in the design process to ensure that business requirements are being satisfied.
10. Coordinate design reviews with business users.
11. Document functional/technical requirements if needed
12. Assist with configuring system settings and options in support of unit and system testing
13. Plan and facilitate of User Acceptance Testing including duties such as test case creation, environment/ID set-up, data set-up, tracking and resolution of issues
14. Successful execution of all SDLC milestone/sign-offs and SOX evidence
15. Assist in implementation shakeout
16. Assist in post-implementation support
17. Facilitate updating of all application support documentation – training, regression test scripts, online help, support plans with production support teams
18. Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
19. Manage day-to-day relationship with 3rd party software vendors if applicable
20. Mentor junior team members including business analysts and less experienced project managers.
21. Manage quality control for output of analysts and ensure completeness and sufficient detail of business and system requirements and analysis of requirements.
22. Perform administrative duties as required including completing weekly timesheets, submitting expense reports, providing regular status reports.
23. Collaborate with team members to help analyze, design, build, or support a solution.
24. Provide feedback for process improvements to help improve self-effectiveness and team efficiency.
Requirements
* Minimum of 8 years experience in the IT industry
* Minimum 5 years of business and/or systems analysis experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems or related field or direct equivalent.
* Candidate should possess strong written, oral communication and presentation skills.
* Minimum 3 years experience as a lead business and/or systems analyst - leading analysis activities and peer reviews, authoring requirements and analysis documentation.
* Prefer experience in the media & entertainment industry
* Prefer experience with digital asset management solutions
* Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience accepting varying levels of responsibility in support of projects and initiatives.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience managing professional services engagements with 3rd party systems integrators.
* Positive attitude, entrepreneurial spirit, good problem-solving skills, self-starter, self-motivated, team player
* Strong knowledge of business planning, terminology, best practices, tools, and technology.
* Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and to ensure that overall priorities are being met
* Experience developing project schedules in MS Project
* Ability to develop and execute simple SQL queries to produce ad hoc reports, analyze business data, and perform system testing duties
* Possesses understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design
* Willingness to work weekends in support of software releases
