Responsibilities
The Job:
Golf Digest has the largest audience in golf with No. 1 website in terms of monthly and yearly traffic and a magazine with the biggest distribution in the world. GolfDigest.com produces web-first content on our brand’s pillars: Where to Play, What to Play and How to Play, as well as covering the major professional tours and the amateur game. Our spring editorial content intern will be given the opportunity to ideate and produce content regularly as well as contribute to special projects including but not limited to Golf Digest’s newly launched franchise, Places to Play, golf’s new digital hub of course reviews.
The Daily Responsibilities:
Our intern must possess a working knowledge of golf, both at the competitive and recreational levels. You will report to Golf Digest’s web editors. Some responsibilities will include:
Execution of courses, equipment and instruction content for GolfDigest.com.
Support of Golf Digest’s course-rater portal, including the collection and organization of course photos for Places to Play.
Editing of GolfDigest.com’s daily content mix.
Collaboration with Golf Digest editors to budget out ideas for all platforms.
Qualifications
The Essentials:
Our intern must possess a working knowledge of golf, both at the competitive and recreational levels. You will report to Golf Digest’s web editors. Some responsibilities will include:
Execution of courses, equipment and instruction content for GolfDigest.com.
Support of Golf Digest’s course-rater portal, including the collection and organization of course photos for Places to Play.
Editing of GolfDigest.com’s daily content mix.
Collaboration with Golf Digest editors to budget out ideas for all platforms.
Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Basic Web CMS
• Must be currently enrolled as a student (proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship)
• Must be a rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate student (18 years or older)
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States
About the Internship Program:
• Our Spring 2023 program is a 12 Week Internship that will run from Monday, February 6th through Friday, April 28th, 2023
• Part time-schedule (16-24 hours/week) required
• Company-issued computer or secured remote access provided for the duration of the internship program
• Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive salary. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
