Full Time Unpaid Internship

What you need to know:
• This spring, our 12 week semester will be held from January 28th-April 19th 2019.
• Our Internships are paid opportunities. Credit is not required; however, we will provide documentation if necessary.
• The application deadline is November 16th. After this date, we cannot guarantee your application will be reviewed for the position.
• We do not require a cover letter. Please demonstrate your passion for the position through your resume.
Interviewing will take place from October through December. A Discovery Intern team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.
Responsibilities
Social Media throughout Discovery aims to deliver, extend, and enhance the living room experience before, during, and after our shows across all screens. These teams help drive tune-in to our networks and traffic to our websites while serving as liaisons to our communities of superfans.
As an Editorial or Social Media Intern, your adventure could lead you to work on projects and tasks such as:
• Workflow organization for social team
• Offer creative input on content, strategies for managing social platforms and conversations
• Research new industry trends
• Market shows, talents and events on social
• Pick stock photos for articles, research story ideas for our daily news videos
• Assist with video production for social videos
Requirements
* Must be currently enrolled as a full time student (proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an Internship)
* Must be a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student
* Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
* Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
* Experience with video editing software.
