Overview
Global Events & Brand Activation Specialist
Responsibilities
• Support the planning & execution of various events vital to Discovery's businesses and portfolio, maximizing the business impact for key stakeholders
• Manage event operations including timelines, overviews, budget, vendor selection, etc. on behalf of internal clients
• Collaborate with internal & external creative agencies and partners to help design and produce printed & digital event assets & premiums
• Manage event marketing platform for key corporate events, building custom invitations, landing pages, registration forms, tracking RSVPs, managing check-in, etc.
• Ongoing research of global media & event industry trends related to event spaces, new technologies, agencies & caterers, etc.
• Maintain a calendar of media industry events with the goal of researching opportunities for Discovery presence at key events throughout the year.
• Provide onsite event support as needed
Qualifications
• BA, BS or Higher
• 3-5 years of progressively responsible event coordination experience
• Must have attention to detail, organizational skills, and proven ability to juggle multiple priorities
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment while following tasks through to completion under tight deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills & ability to work effectively with a wide range of staff at all levels
• Skills in Splash, Salesforce & Adobe Suite preferred but not required
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Creative individual who enjoys thinking “outside the box”
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively
• Ability to travel to support Corporate Relations projects as needed
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States
