Discovery Digital Media is looking for a Sr. Technical Product Manager responsible for digital product strategy for back office systems. This position requires close collaboration with our Enterprise system teams.
Responsibilities
1. Own back office product strategy including design, infrastructure, and processes for the following areas
a. Customer account management
b. Billing & Payment Processing. This includes, but not limited to:
i. Billed account management
ii. Billing calculation
iii. Payment processing
iv. Fraud management & monitoring
v. Credit & collections
vi. Finance system integration
vii. Balancing & Quality Assurance
c. Customer support systems & tooling
d. Revenue Assurance. This includes, but is not limited to:
i. Automated system to system verification
ii. Automated transactional balancing
iii. Continuously improving automated operational monitoring
2. As a cross functional leader, manage the internal and external technology, vendor, and partner relationships involved in the building and delivery of these back office systems and processes
3. Manage roadmap associated to back office systems and functions, partnering across internal and external organizations to ensure that all components are delivered on time/within budget
Requirements
* 10 years experience as a Product Manager, with a specific focus on back-end systems
* Strong verbal communication skills; able to explain technology effectively, regardless of audience
* Strong relationship skills; able to effectively manage external vendors and collaborate closely with internal areas of the organization to get the job done
* Experience with collaborating and implementing features with engineers
* Experience with one or more of the following: customer account technologies, billing and subscription technologies, customer support tools
* Understanding of API-based services and SQL and NoSQL databases a plus
* Must have the legal right to work in the United States
