Full Time Job
As a Project Manager, you will work cross-functionally across MotorTrend, with teams including Product, Engineering, Digital Marketing, Content Ops, Editorial, and Data and Analytics, to lead our products from conception to delivery. You will be responsible for coordinating cross-discipline teams, tracking progress, reporting, and course-correcting over the full project life-cycle. You will create a unified delivery and resourcing plans–identifying dependencies, risks, and issues and implement plans which resolve and mitigate disruption to delivery.
Responsibilities
• Provide direction and coordination to cross-disciplined teams to deliver exceptional products and services for MotorTrend’s users
• Be the project point of contact, to ensure project coordination, consistent messaging across cross-disciplined teams and deadlines are being met and/or updated for issues that arise
• Work with relevant stakeholders to set the vision and respective KPIs for the projects–defining how success will be measured
• When required draft user stories and inform user journey maps to reflect the team’s requirements and project objectives
• Continual collaboration with stakeholders (both internal and external) to identify, manage and resolve any dependencies, risks, and issues throughout the life-cycle of the project
• Diligently track and report project status to stakeholders–articulating progress against the projects workstreams, highlighting key risks/issues/dependencies and their respective mitigation strategies
• Facilitate planning and requirements gathering sessions with the various business units, stakeholders and product teams
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to scope out new projects and initiatives; including the development of project, resourcing and communication plans, as well as financial planning
• Construct and maintain a detailed project plan throughout the lifecycle of a project, scoping out and managing budgets over the duration of a project
• Communicate & present progress to team members and management ensuring key stakeholders are kept informed in a timely manner
• Map and share workflows ensuring all relevant parties are involved and informed
Requirements
• Previous experience managing digital product delivery projects
• Ability to present to and manage stakeholders throughout the life cycle of a project
• Ability to identify and manage risk throughout a project–escalating and resolving issues as they happen
• Able to build strong relationships and achieve results under potentially difficult circumstances
• Ability to manage and mitigate conflict within the team
• Proven ability to work well under pressure with a high degree of flexibility and a positive approach
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to self-organise, take ownership of a project and drive it through to completion
• Strong customer service ethos, committed to quality, with the will and enthusiasm to drive improvements
• Ability to manage & analyse data
• There will be a need to travel on occasion
