Discovery is looking for an experienced project manager to join our Digital Studios group in Knoxville, TN. This is a key position collaborating with our creative services and marketing teams to organize and execute custom creative projects across our portfolio of digital properties both on and off platform.
As our ideal candidate, you have experience working in an agency or in-house setting with designers and marketers. You’re a self-starter that’s hyper-organized and task-focused, but you’re also creative, flexing the seams of a traditional project manager while being able to contribute to creative strategy and helping ensure client needs are met while maintaining internal considerations. You get your hands dirty and take ownership when your skill set is needed. You thrive working with different groups and personalities, finding the most effective ways to keep things on time and schedule. You love being part of a multi-disciplinary team that delivers best-in-class creative.

Responsibilities
What You'll Be Doing
• Gather requirements, develop timelines, and manage tasks for custom digital projects
• Collaborate with Marketing and Creative Services management to prioritize work and develop weekly schedules for designers and developers
• Facilitate relevant communication with key stakeholders both internally and externally with necessary agency/client contacts
• Ensure quality and accuracy of all custom creative
• Manage timelines through the project lifecycle communicating risks and facilitating solutions
• Write basic copy and curate content for custom digital projects
• Establish and refine workflows to cultivate consistent processes for a team supporting multiple stakeholders and extremely diverse projects
• Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key internal divisions (marketing, sales, editorial)
• Maintain detailed project records in a centralized system
• Generate reports that summarize project statuses, time tracking and project valuation
Requirements
You
• 3 year's experience managing projects working with creative in an agency or in-house setting
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, comfortable communicating with internal stakeholders and external clients
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks
• Comfortable working under tight deadlines in a dynamic/high-change environment
• Proficient writing ability in two key areas: 1.) basic copywriting for consumer audiences, and 2.) clear and concise internal and client communication skills
• Sharp understanding of all digital platforms (web, video, mobile, social)
• Proficiency with standard business applications required (Microsoft, Google, etc); some experience with Photoshop, web development platforms, and web content management systems not required, but a definite plus
