We are seeking candidates for the position of a Production Coordinator in our Silver Spring, Maryland office.
Position Summary:
The Production Coordinator position will facilitate, coordinate and manage all pre and post-production needs for the Digital Production teams. He/she will manage project tracking documentation for the department and coordinate all resources, equipment.
Responsibilities:
1. Schedule the resources and manage the pre and post production work for show originals and branded entertainment video production.
2. As point person, vet incoming projects for feasibility, raise concerns, if applicable, and work with manager to create plan of execution for said project in order to meet client objectives.
3. Maintain an updated production calendar and weekly project tracker for all on-going Digital Production projects.
4. Oversee and ensure valid budget codes are assigned for each project(s) and applicable invoice coordination and processing.
5. Manage designated workload for assigned producer, editors and freelancers.
6. Assist with shoot as needed including securing locations/permits, booking travel for production team.
7. Gather all necessary materials/sources for each digitize/edit/audio session. This includes pulling sources from Discovery Creative Technology Center (DCTC) Media Center as well as all other sources -- credits, music, narration, graphics, additional footage, etc.
8. General equipment inventory, tracking and coordination in conjunction with all shoots.
9. Maintain and cultivate IC, Contract and freelance worker repository.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years work experience required in post-production and/or business environment.
* Four-year college degree or equivalent experience required.
* Detail-oriented, extremely well organized and self-sufficient in completing projects with little or no direction.
* Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and activities and prioritize workload.
* Ability to accommodate flexible and dynamic work schedule.
* Must be proactive and excel in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* Strong computer skills with a high level of proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, internet research and e-mail using Lotus Notes.
* Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
* PMI Certification a plus.
