Position Summary
Dplay is expanding and a new role has opened for a PMO Lead as we look to take on more projects over the next year. This role reports into the Programme Director for Product and Technology. In this role you will be responsible for delivering the management reporting, planning and supporting the Programme Team to deliver projects smoothly and within the control framework specified.
Responsibilities
• Implement a new PMO office into the Programme team ensuring that the policy and project delivery controls are always followed, promptly escalating issues, risks, and continuous improvement suggestions to the Project/Programme Managers
• Be a program wide champion of providing a clear picture of progress, issues and blockers to ensure the programmes of work are executed as efficiently as possible
• Steerco preparation
• Support the project managers in development of business cases
• Establish and maintain project controls, keeping the project manager aware of the project status.
• Prepare project performance reports, presenting statistics and researching new information.
• Ensure risks and issues are an integral part of the governance cycle
• Manage PMO professional team members, coaching them on PMO best practice and their development
Requirements
• PMO experience is a must have
• Your project experience should include the design, planning, governance and implementation of a project as well as tools and techniques for issues and risk management, decision making and reporting within the rigour of a PMO
• Ability to extract key messages, understand what is important to the program and the executive audience whilst delivering appropriate written and verbal communication
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship and communication skills, able to collaborate and partner with all areas of business.
• Excellent stakeholder management and proven ability to deal professionally with senior management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate and partner across the Dplay and build an internal as well as external network.
• Experience in influencing others to adhere to project life cycle and production of required documentation
• Experience working within a fast-paced changing environment
Desired Requirements
• Formal project management training (e.g. Prince II Practitioner) a plus
• Experience with Confluence and Jira
• Previously managed a team
