Overview
Discovery has undertaken a major initiative to transform our People & Culture function through the end to end design and implementation of a future state solution including the development of new shared Global Services, and implementation of technologies including SAP SuccessFactors and ServiceNow that will deliver a digitally enabled People & Culture function and workplace.
This initiative, called Project Condor, will allow for dynamic decision making, global streamlined and automated processes, a digitally-native global mindset, all while providing the right structure and tools to manage people and business growth.
The Change Release Support role is responsible for supporting the planning, communications and delivery of various HRIS solution releases, updates and continuous improvement initiatives across the Discovery technology landscape. This role will require the individual to develop a detailed understanding of Discovery’s as-is and to-be People & Culture Operations Technology landscape and work closely with GT&O to support BAU and improvement efforts.
The role will support with meticulously planning for releases / upgrades across ServiceNow, SuccessFactors and other enabling technologies. This role will support the Integrated Solution Lead across a portfolio of multiple projects; flagging risks, dependencies, overlaps and system conflicts (both within and outside of People & Culture) to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
Requirements
• Previous experience in working on a complex change or transformation project. Business Analyst experience desirable.
• Experience working with ServiceNow, SuccessFactors and other enabling technologies
• Excellent analytical skills, able to support in defining continuous improvement opportunities
• Project Management skills and qualification such as Prince2, PMP, Agile or other desirable but not essential
• A track record of working across complex technology landscapes on a global scale
• Highly motivated and self-starter, with high level of energy and pro-active approach to work
• Ability to communicate professionally, clearly and effectively to target audiences
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines on multiple projects or tasks concurrently
• Proactive in seeking information, challenging norms and driving efficiency
• Comfortable working with a global consumer base and different cultures
Responsibilities
• Provide Business Analyst support for the Project Condor team, with a predominant focus on SuccessFactors and ServiceNow module deployment
• Support in the design and execution of Discovery’s People & Culture Technology Roadmap, with a predominant focus on Release Management for ServiceNow and SuccessFactors, and other enabling technologies across Discovery’s technology architecture
• Support the governance of the People & Culture Technology landscape including the management and coordination of any changes
• Support the maintenance of the knowledge base of architecture policies, standards, technology roadmaps, reference architectures, systems inventory and preferred products to direct and guide all HRIS and system development and services to ensure accurate and timely execution of all assigned tasks to standard operating procedures
• Support with the maintenance of global processes, enabling technologies, support structures, system requirements and potential employee experience impacts
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across Discovery, ensuring understanding of their service requirements
• Support the Integrated Solution lead in scoping, designing and delivering projects to support the service provision (technical or people related change); responsible for achieving stakeholder buy-in, for delivering projects within agreed timescales through to handover to "business as usual" and for ensuring that the agreed benefits are realised
• Support with testing activities, with a predominant focus on Regression Testing
