Full Time Job
Manages a team of individuals responsible for the pre-sale process of media planning along with campaign management of live campaigns through invoicing for Discovery’s Digital and TVE inventory. This individual with develop and lead team on building of media plans given pricing and inventory direction and will also manage the effective monitoring of campaign media as well as other client deliverables.
Responsibilities
1. Leads a team of account specialists, planners, and sales assistants dedicated to meeting the operational needs of assigned client segment
2. Manages campaign management lead to deliver all booked revenue in period
3. This position is responsible for all business resources related to building effective media plans that 1) close business 2) exhibit low fulfillment risk, and 3) drive client retention. The Director of Revenue and Planning Operations will Manage the Planning Resources Manager responsible for design, develop, and maintenance of technology supporting the functions of planning research, plan building, or uploading plans to various systems and executing
4. Ensures strategic consistency across all elements of plan development and implementation
5. Interface with other sales offices, ad sales marketing, ad traffic and other relevant internal departments
6. Ensure each account/campaign for team is setup prior to campaign launch (ie liability forms in place, creative specs sent, reporting schedules set, data sourced, etc.)
7. Manage team level campaigns via performance reporting, advise/execute necessary yield optimizations
8. Oversee planning of larger revenue deals client to align with client's business objectives and advertising strategy
9. Coaching team on how to recommend the most appropriate types of media to use, as well as the most effective time spans and locations
10. Evaluating the effectiveness of campaigns to inform future campaigns
11. Reviews pricing strategy, demand, supply and outcomes with Pricing/Sales leadership along with close rates
Requirements
* Bachelor degree in a numerical discipline or equivalent years of analytical experience
* Strong analytical, communication and time management skills
* Ability to understand and interpret trends and react with strategic/tactical changes
* Good technical skills and knowledge of MS office, specifically Excel
* Strong communicator with ability to adjust / adapt to situations to maximize results
* Knowledge of industry technologies (Ad serving, Operative, Salesforce)
* Ability to work face-to-face and electronically (e.g. telephone, e-mail, IM, social media)
* Ability to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
* Ability to lead and work with a diverse team
* Must be able to work out of the NY office
* Must have legal right to work in the US
