Full Time Job
The Development Coordinator provides creative and administrative support on multiple projects with the Director of Development and VP of Production and Development. Serves as a point of contact for pitches, and works closely with EP’s to ensure deadlines, budgets and deliverables are met. Provides department support to Director of Development, and Vice President, setting up meetings, maintaining and distributing reports.
Responsibilities
1. Assist Director of Development with coordination and communication with other departments. Including:
• Sets up pitches with external production companies.
• Management of documents to track projects. Provide treatments, episode descriptions, cuts, production delivery dates and shoot locations.
• Provide program clips for as sales reels, delivery updates, and upfront information. New Media/Online/VOD - As required, provide support for initiatives across multiple platforms.
• Provide timely updates on production schedules, milestone payment confirmation and other deliverables information.
• Coordination and communication with Business Affairs and Legal as needed regarding business and contractual matters.
2. Provides research and fact checking to ensure quality control of content.
3. Manage jointly with EP the project production schedule for contract compliance and overall project workflow. Track deliverables and communicate fulfillment of production milestones, production issues or changes, to project team members.
4. Manage and distribute schedules, production company information, and other relevant program updates using appropriate databases.
5. Provide, organize, and dispense production information to outside production companies
6. Maintain continual communication with production company regarding info and pitches, sizzles, scripts, proposals and other correspondence.
7. Maintain constant communication with internal constituents- all depts.
8. Support Production Executives to ensure timely responses are met for internal parties and external producers.
9. Coordinate special projects such as internal/external presentation tapes for industry markets/corporate events, etc.
10. Arrange meetings, manage conference calls, travel arrangements, expense reports, and other administration support as requested.
Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of skills, training, and experience.
* Experience as production assistant or coordinator or equivalent experience or knowledge of TCM systems.
* Organizational skills a must.
* Must be a self-starter
* Working knowledge of field and post-production.
* Strong research skills.
* Strong communication skills - verbal and written.
* Basic editing skills a plus.
* Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
