The Role
The Creative Director will be responsible for the overall creative supervision and direction of the Discovery Golf brand. He or she will collaborate with the VP, Marketing and translate the vision of the Discovery golf into compelling and engaging consumer experiences across a portfolio of digital properties.
This role will sit in Brand Marketing team within Discovery Golf but support teams across Discovery Golf – Branded Content, Social, Commercial Revenue, Programming, Product, Performance Marketing and Business Development. The role is required to undertake high volume of design work for Discovery Golf team.
Responsibilities
1. Development of brand guidelines for use across all Discovery Golf products
2. Oversee all aspects of the creative process including: conceptualize, design, and deliver materials (for social, motion graphics, pp presentations, and digital/print projects, invitations, newsletters etc including data visualization)
3. Maintain consistency of communication as it pertains to the GOLFTV talent (i.e. Tiger Woods and Francesco Molinari)
4. Work closely with Commercial Revenue team to build client presentations, branded content treatments and in product executions
5. Work with senior management on internal/external presentations to partners and clients
6. Direct and motivate a team of art directors, illustrators, copywriters etc. to help them use their talents effectively
7. Foster a creative environment where ideas can flourish.
8. Establish creative vision for the rollout of new products/platforms, including the look/feel, messaging and style guide
9. Ensure high quality products within set timeframes and budget, utilizing internal and external resources as needed
10. Partner with corporate relations and corporate communications for the execution of collateral for client hospitality programs
Requirements
* 8 years graphic design and user interface experience including 5 or more years as an Art Director, Creative Director or leading a Creative Services function.
* Must have success translating business objectives into high quality, interactive and visually stimulating products.
* Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously within tight timelines and deadlines.
* Must work well in a team-oriented environment.
* High profile interactive development experience.
* Strong comprehension of information architecture and editorial disciplines and methodologies.
* Mastery of project concept creation, site architecture, user-interface specification, functionality specification and interactive design.
* Strong presentation skills – ability to articulate ideas at all levels of the organization.
* Excellent client management and negotiating skills.
* Mastery of standard design software applications .
* Entertainment design experience preferred.
* College degree. BFA/MFA preferred
* Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
* A strong understanding of consumer marketing and brand building, strategic thinking and planning.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* High energy and enthusiastic leadership skills are a must.
* Must function in a collaborative environment.
* Strong initiative and problem solving/trouble shooting skills.
* Flexibility and the ability to react quickly to changing needs in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
