Our Team
The Media Strategy & Analytics team acts as an internal media agency that handles the strategy, execution, and reporting of all paid & owned media vehicles with the goal of driving multiplatform viewership of the Discovery Networks.
The Role
This role is a critical position within the Media Strategy and Analytics team, specifically within the Paid Acquisition pod. S/he will be focused on managing and advancing the buying of paid TV, Radio, Print, and OOH with the goal of efficiently acquiring consumers who will watch the various Discovery networks on all devices. Responsibilities will include working closely with the Acquisition Strategy team to develop and execute campaigns with a focus on advancing the ad tech infrastructure for each media vehicle.
Responsibilities
1. Work with the Manager and Strategist the development and execute buys across TV, print, radio, and OOH – including trade campaigns and the management of affiliate assets.
2. Work with Acquisition Strategy team to gain an understanding of campaign specific strategy to ensure all buys are aligned with and maximize campaign goals.
3. Find ways to further maximize and advance affiliate assets.
4. Advance the ad tech buying infrastructure around TV, Radio, Print, and OOH to further automate buys, with the goal of increasing their ability to be optimized and/or addressable.
5. Help maintain key planning and benchmark documents, assist will campaign billing and budget management, and gather launch confirmation details.
6. Track, measure, and analyze performance of campaigns.
7. Review plans and actively apply learnings to create best-in-class executions
8. Maintain and develop strong professional relationships internally (cross departments) and externally (media vendors).
Requirements
* Minimum 1 year of media planning experience.
* Self-starter, highly motivated, positive demeanor, excellent communicator, and able to juggle multiple assignments simultaneously.
* Polished with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Analytical with a comfort in dealing with numbers and reporting.
* Reasonable availability to respond to requests and attend the real-time needs of campaigns outside normal business hours.
* Understanding of TV Everywhere and the Television ecosystem is a plus.
* Experience with Direct Response is a plus.
