Our Team
The Domestic Distribution team is responsible for the distribution of Discovery’s 18 US networks, (linear and non-linear) including Discovery Channel, HGTV, TLC, Food Network, Investigation Discovery, Animal Planet and Travel Channel.
The Role
Ensure each affiliate that launches and carries any DCI network is under contract and in compliance with all terms of the distribution agreements with a specific emphasis on managing the affiliate contract lifecycle from point of request to execution, maintaining the distribution contract files, updating information in the affiliate database and overseeing all third-party signal authorization requests.
Responsibilities
1. Oversee the processing of all affiliate distribution agreements, digital media agreements, amendments, transport agreements, aggregator member submissions, from request to execution and perform research and issue resolution follow-up as needed.
2. Ensure all fully executed documents are sent to Affiliate and uploaded to the Distribution Contract Database.
3. Ensure AMS is updated to reflect correct agreement information to ensure proper billing and revenue recognition.
4. Process HITS authorizations, deauthorizations and report requests and work jointly with HITS and DD Authorizations team to perform periodic reconciliations to ensure AMS has accurate signal source information.
5. Handle affiliate TVE authorization requests, work with integrators to ensure accurate implementation and perform periodic reconciliations to ensure authorization integrity.
6. Process affiliate VOD authorizations, content requests, and perform periodic reconciliations.
7. Maintain affiliate packaging and channel lineup library to support ongoing compliance monitoring.
8. Process master headend operator notices, transporter signal authorization and monthly reconciliations to ensure AMS has accurate signal source information.
9. This role will work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure quality control procedures, accuracy of data and efficiencies of workflow are met for audit controls.
10. Responsible for generating daily, weekly and monthly contract reports to support Compliance and Legal Team priorities.
11. Special projects as needed in support of Domestic Distribution priorities.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or an equivalent combination of skills, training and experience preferred.
* Must be detailed oriented and possess strong oral, written and analytical skills.
* Candidate must demonstrate initiative and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously work independently and meet very tight deadlines.
* Candidate must be articulate with strong interpersonal, communication and customer service attitude skills.
* Must possess a high level of self-motivation, commitment, and demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness.
* Proficient in Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and database management.
* Cable industry experience a plus.
* Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
