Core to Eurosport’s strategy for engaging our Sports audience is creating authentic, intuitive, and delightful digital products. This role is key to delivering against our strategy.
Responsibilities
As Commercial Product Manager, Eurosport Digital, you will drive the development and execution of ES digital products across platforms by taking the lead on coordinating ways to drive revenue that are still respectful of the customer experience. You will work closely with development teams to deliver against a product strategy and roadmap, engaging and growing audiences on Eurosport’s publicly available properties across a multi-device environment.
This role reports into the Eurosport Digital Director and will work closely with Product, Development, Editorial, Advertising, and Marketing teams to define and deliver products that will place ES Digital properties ahead of the market.
• Coordinate the commercial requirements for Eurosport Digital, transcending reporting lines while generating a strong team culture. You will be the point person for new commercial opportunities that affect the Eurosport Digital team, particularly on our free product.
• Own the advertising experience across all our digital platforms. This will involve working with our central Ad Sales and Operations teams and converting their needs into requirements and meaningful customer experiences
• Pitching new ideas and ways to monetize our products
• Ensure work is scheduled with the relevant teams, obtaining internal consensus and incorporating feedback
• Report on the success and impact of any new ad or partnership campaign across our products
• Work successfully within a milestone-driven environment, utilising standardised product development processes
• Contribute to on-time, on-budget delivery of products
Requirements
• Experience in Product Development and Technology in a video, media or sport setting
• Demonstrable experience of web, mobile/tablet product development
• Experience of using analytical tools to increase traffic to digital properties
• Video and display advertising, across front-end and back-end
• Excellent written and oral communication. Able to write and present to non-digitally savvy audiences
• Knowledge and understanding of Agile product development practices
• Excellent decision making and judgment
• Proven stakeholder management
• A passion for Sport and/or a good understanding of the media and sports industries is highly desirable
