Overview
We have multiple opportunities in our Commentary Coordination team!
This role is suited to someone who is looking to expand their broadcasting experience and gain a huge amount of knowledge on sports broadcasting, offering the opportunity to work with many different departments, gaining valuable experience from every part of a production, as well as exposure to working with teams across multiple countries in Europe.
The Commentary Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the Live Commentary requirements are adhered to during linear and digital live broadcasts and productions, working as a bridge of communication between the European regions, the London Hub, and the Paris Hub.
The role involves working closely with Commentary planners and Commentators across all of Europe, as well as providing direction to different departments across the company; such as Producers, Audio Engineers, MCR, Ingest and Live Operators.
You will act as the Point of contact for all special linear and digital commentary requests and oversee the creation of efficient workflows between local offices and hubs. This role is essential to the wider team, working to centralise the requests from the regions and share key information to contribute to delivering the best product to our customers on a variety of sporting events.
Responsibilities
• Establish and maintain relationships with commentators and planners in territory and in-house
• Escalate and help solve any technical issues that might arise during line-up by engaging with the appropriate technical departments
• Execute correct procedure for the live broadcast in cooperation with Live Team, Multi control room, Sound operators, Live Transmission Operators and Engineering
• Liaise with Multi control room Operators, Live Technical Operators, as well as Production during a live broadcast / commentated event
• Update resource scheduling system when and as required
• Report issues for follow-up and provide any external reports required for the events
• Maintain a high level of reliability on live broadcasts and productions and continuously keep skills honed and up to date with business needs

• Experience working in a live broadcast environment, preferably with some production experience
• Strong team player
• Well-developed communication skills

• Flexibility and adaptability to different demands of the business
• Excellent decision-making skills
• Ability to time manage and keep an organized approach
• An interest in sports is beneficial
Metrics:
• Working across 10,000 live broadcasts / feeds per annum
• Working across 10 Eurosport channels
• Working in a department of 25 people
