The Associate Account Executive will drive advertising sales efforts or participates in making sales to specific advertising accounts. Implements approved advertising sales strategies, sales marketing campaigns and promotions within a territory and/or with assigned accounts.
Responsibilities
1. Drive advertising revenue opportunities with clients through direct sales efforts including prospecting and closing new business, manage renewal business, and grow existing business incrementally year over year.
2. Meet and exceed quarterly sales quota by selling custom advertising solutions to clients across our networks, go platforms, tent pole events, sweepstakes, etc. (not sure this is applicable for this role.
3. Works with customers to sell the benefits and features of new advertising programs and products.
4. Accountable for servicing assigned accounts.
5. Partners with Marketing, Research, Pricing Planning and Commercial Operations to manage advertiser deals from pitch to close.
6. Works independently on moderately complex projects/assignments.
7. Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance on unusual, complex problems or issues.
Requirements
* BS/BA in related discipline and 2-5 years of experience in related field - OR -
* MS/MA/MBA or other graduate degree and 2-4 year of experience in related field.
* Collaborates with others on team projects.
* May provide general guidance or train junior level support and less experienced professional colleagues.
* Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of computer software.
* Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.
* Strong organizational skills with ability to act independently and responsibly.
* Capacity to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Must be able to work collaboratively with team members.
* Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional groups.
* Employees will also perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
