Position Summary
• Responsible to track and manage all IT software and hardware assets globally, their warranties and maintenance, throughout their lifecycles in accordance with ISO requirements
• Responsible for the accurate physical receiving of materials/product/software etc. and to maintain integrity of inventory control, and insures delivery of materials/product/software etc. to the correct department.
• Interfaces with other Asset Management processes such as Configuration Management, as required with respect to IT asset data
Position responsibilities
• All inbound deliveries; ensures purchase order number is on all paperwork.
• Receives product deliveries into SAP.
• Records and checks quantity and quality of good received.
• Properly inputs received material into SAP, CG4, and ServiceNow and forwards proper documentation to relevant departments.
• Delivers product to appropriate personnel – insures all pathways are kept clear.
• Responsible for ensuring that Discovery asset have been tagged.
• Provide training and mentoring of colleagues in asset management process
• Track and manage all IT software and hardware assets globally, their warranties and maintenance, throughout their lifecycles in accordance with ISO requirements
• In conjunction with accounting, track all IT fixed assets
• Maintains all software licenses and subscriptions and ensures compliance
• Tracks all assets and maintains global lease agreements
• Coordinates virtual or physical audits of all IT hardware and software
• Manages the safe and secure disposal of assets
• Performs reconciliation with IT asset Records in the IT asset Management repository to fixed asset repository
• Communicates effectively with internal parties when necessary
• Undertakes any other tasks/duties as may be reasonably required
• Generates business and management reports as requested
• Assists in resolving service requests originating from customers and internal organizations concerning fixed asset management issues
Qualifications
• Education – University degree preferred
• ITIL v3 certified (preferred, not essential)
• Experience in creating, implementing and maintaining a new asset management process
• Working knowledge of computerized inventory control system (SAP/CG4 and Service Now).
• Working knowledge in MS Word, Excel or similar computer software systems.
• Should thrive in a fast-paced environment, being able to meet short deadlines.
• Autonomous, proactive, self-driven, deliverable-focused, organized and structured attitude is absolutely essential
• Some Travel maybe required
• Ability to communicate effectively in English in writing and verbally
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Experience with an ITAM system and has a familiarity with general purchasing and receiving processes
