Full Time Job
The Art Director Brand Creative will manage all aspects of graphic design while working on all Brand Creative initiatives as well as product design to create a cohesive, recognizable brand statement across platforms and around the globe. This role will also be responsible for the management of the brand photography library and other media assets.
The Art Director Brand Creative will report to the VP Global Brand Creative.
Responsibilities
1. Communicate with senior management to develop an aesthetic and brand that reflects the company’s core values and ideals. Determine how best to represent a concept visually in a platform agnostic approach.
2. Determine which photographs, art, or other design elements to use.
3. Develop the overall look or style of a publication, an advertising campaign, or a theater, television, or film set for any given project, show or event under the brand parameters.
4. Supervise and collaborate with Marketing Designer.
5. Review and approve designs, artwork, photography, and graphics developed by Marketing Designer or out of house vendors. Maintain graphic consistency across all deliverables
6. Talk to clients (from Programming, to Producers and Social Media partners) to develop an artistic approach and style unique to Animal Planet.
7. Coordinate activities with other artistic and creative departments.
8. Develop detailed budgets and timelines.
9. Present designs to clients for approval.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in advertising, design, fine art or related field
* 6 years of advertising / design industry experience
* Dedication to graphic consistency and quality across all platforms
* Possess basic video editing skills, and basic HTML 5
* Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate a bias for action in a fast- paced, sometimes ambiguous environment
* Exceptional design aesthetic, solid typography skills and awareness of design trends and innovation
* Samples of work that demonstrate your design thinking, process, and solutions
* Extensive in Adobe Creative Suite and Mac literacy is required
* Ability to present ideas clearly and thoughtfully
* Working knowledge of latest technologies and trend
* Strong understanding of digital and social platforms as well as their use within marketing
* Self-starter who is a detail-oriented, and enthusiastic team player
* Passion for working in a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
* Exceptional attention to detail
* Must have the legal right to work in the United States
