Job Title: Systems Coordinator
Department: 1220 Systems
Reports to: Director of Systems Technology
Status: Non-Exempt
Classification: Full Time
Purpose of the job:
Systems Coordinators provide first-level diagnosis, troubleshooting, and problem resolution related to operating systems, hardware, and software for clients and end-users. Working under minimal supervision, Syscoords respond to calls and helpdesk tickets, provide support in accordance with established processes, and document incidents and remedies. They also escalate complex incidents to second-level support personnel.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
In this support position, the systems coordinator is responsible for:
• Troubleshooting software, hardware, vpn and basic networking issues
• Installing and updating software on desktops, laptops, smart-phones, peripherals
• Responding to helpdesk tickets and support calls
• Maintaining daily performance of computer systems
• Moving and setting up artists workstations
• Creating and maintaining user accounts
• Cleaning up computers.
• Running diagnostic programs to resolve problems
• Updating documentation on the company's intranet
Education and/or Experience Required:
• Must be an enthusiastic self-starter who works well in a distributed team environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interest in systems administration and customer service
• Ability to work with technical and non-technical users
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
• Windows and Linux experience are required. OSX experience preferred
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience with Google Apps and Office 365 preferred
• Experience using and installing various graphic and animation software packages (VRAY, Maya, Houdini, and Nuke, Abobe Creative Cloud) is a plus.
• Basic Perl, Python, and/or Shell scripting is a plus.
Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands:
• Office working environment
• 40 hour work week with occasional overtime and weekend work as required by production
• Walking/bending/sitting
• Some lifting and carrying
