POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Marketing Manager will work on a cross functional marketing team to manage and oversee the following:
Corporate Events, Conferences and Marketing: Candidate will oversee the planning, budgeting and execution of a variety of DBG-related events throughout the year. These include parties, seminars, presentations, corporate meetings, sales events, and conferences and encompass managing all elements of these efforts.
Social Outreach: Candidate will be responsible for overseeing DBG's corporate social outreach and community building efforts across Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and others. This will include maintaining an editorial calendar and optimizing the company's efforts in engaging its audience.
Other responsibilities include managing all award submissions, specific sales support efforts and special projects.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and project management skills as well as highly developed written and verbal communication skills. The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Vice President of Marketing to ensure each element of the project's execution is consistent with DBG's key objectives and is delivered on time. Experience in event planning and/or PR agency and social is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
A minimum of 2-4 years of hands-on Marketing Communications experience with a PR or creative agency.
Bachelors' degree in Advertising, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, English, or Communications.
Highly developed communications (written and verbal) and project management skills.
Outstanding interpersonal skills - ability to comfortably interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
Excellent time management and organization skills with pinpoint attention to detail.
Ability to complete multiple tasks and high volume of work on short deadlines and follow through on assigned tasks with limited supervision.
Highly motivated and self-directed with the ability to work well both independently and as proactive team member.
Strong MS Office Skills - highly skilled in creation of power point presentations.
This position can either be located in New York or Los Angeles.
