dick clark productions, the world's largest producer of televised live event programming is looking for a creative, tech-savvy Manager to join a forward thinking, top notch Brand, Marketing, & Digital Strategy team to assist with the conceiving and execution of social media campaigns around our live, tent-pole events. The Manager, Creative Content reports directly to the Vice President, Creative Content & Post Production. This position is currently based in Santa Monica, CA.
The Role:
As a member of the Brand, Marketing & Digital Strategy department, the Manager, Creative Content is an integral part of the team tasked with conceiving and producing creative video content for dick clark productions' digital and social programming.
The Manager is responsible for providing support to the Creative team leading up to, during and after events while managing crew involved in production shoots.
Duties:
• Participate in creative brainstorms related to social campaigns for dcp shows
• Capture video footage for distribution on social platforms
• Produce video packages for live red carpet shows
• Manage production equipment purchases and maintenance
• Work closely with post production team (editors / motion graphics)
• Hire freelance crew for on-site and in-house roles
• Interface with dcp broadcast production team to facilitate digital content capture
• Maintain an awareness of tech needs for current and upcoming shoots
• Stay abreast of current trends in social media and creative cinematography
Experience and Qualifications:
• 3-5 years shooting and producing digital content
• Prior experience shooting social content for media company and/or brand
• Passion for creating content that will live on social media
• Strong visual eye, storytelling skills and ability to pitch creative social concepts
• Knowledge of all popular and up and coming social media platforms and the differences within optimizing content for each (i.e. Instagram Story vs. Instagram feed, specs, etc.)
• Comfort in all aspects of production, including: Pre-Production and planning, on-site producing and shooting, Post-Production edit supervision and tech trouble-shooting
• Understanding of general production requirements/needs, from pre-production through post-production, including codecs and post workflow
• Motivated and passionate team player interested in working in a collaborative environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work respectfully on shoots with top talent
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while delivering results
• Ability to work nights and weekends, especially in lead up to our tent pole events (including travel when necessary)
• Basic computer skills such as troubleshooting, setting up and breaking down desktops and basic knowledge of server systems and IT-related problem-solving
